I’m a Technical Artist and Tools Engineer with a background in software engineering, focused on building procedural systems and artist-friendly tools for animation and real-time pipelines. At Aeon Nexus, I develop workflow-driven software that streamlines complex processes, collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions.

 

Alongside my professional work, I’ve pursued technical art through self-directed, production-style projects—developing Houdini HDAs for procedural environment generation, custom real-time look development tools in OpenGL, and shader-driven workflows in Unreal Engine and Maya. My work emphasizes non-destructive pipelines, clear parameterization, and rapid iteration, allowing artists to focus on creative intent rather than technical overhead.

 

While my experience in animation is project-based rather than studio-based, my background in software engineering brings strong transferable skills: ownership of complex systems, maintainability-focused design, and clear communication across technical and creative roles. I’m motivated by building tools that bridge technical complexity and artistic expression, empowering artists and scaling creative workflows.

My main responsibilities were making design decisions for UI/UX of the web application we created. I worked alongside the backend developer to program a web application that aids in the process of translating websites into over 100 different languages.

I updated the current website for a research project at UC Davis. I was in charge of making design decisions that would improve UI/UX and create a more user friendly experience. I also updated various pages with up to date information about the research being conducted.

My main responsibilities were to research and design lesson plans for math curriculum (K-12). I designed and implemented a web platform to teach visually impaired youth math through a vision to sound algorithm using various visual and audio APIs. The project was called MathMusic.

I created and edited websites for various cooperatives. I developed standard operating procedures to advise non-technical employees on how to manage, update, and  maintain a website in the absence of a technical specialist. My main project can be seen here.

The project was FourFace, an electronic memory game. I helped with the design/construction of each of the four faces including PCB assembly, laser cutting, digital systems programming and 3d printing. A demo and descriptor of the project  can be seen here.
